Providing Superior On-Site Emergency Standby and Safety Training Services

RCM was formed in early 2012 by brothers Ryan Monette (Intermediate Care Paramedic) and Curtis Monette (Advanced Care Paramedic). While working with provincial EMS services that covered areas bustling with both mining and oil and gas activity, they noted that what was currently being offered to these industries as “medical services” was extremely lacking to their standards and expectations. Many drilling and exploration projects occur in remote areas where EMS or hospitals can be well over an hour away. This concerned the two brothers which resulted in forming their own company with a goal of bringing their Advanced Life Support experience and equipment to the people working in those situations.

MISSION

Provide higher trained, better equipped medical and safety professional who are dedicated to making positive impact in workplace health, safety and in the chain of survival of the individuals. Working together our emergency standby professional offer an extra perspective to assist with site safety programs.

LEADERSHIP

Originating solely as a medical standby provider, RCM has since seen tremendous growth and positive feedback from clients and communities. This has allowed us to expand our team and services to include experienced safety professionals (CSO, CRSP) and Fire/Rescue personnel. We believe in having the right people; not those who only hold proper certifications but also have the right attitude and previous experiences to be a leader in the field. Both management and employees are called on to represent RCM Safety as an industry leader and aid in everyone’s common goal of returning home after a hard day’s work injury free.

PROFESSIONALISM

Although accidents and injuries are never an intended outcome, RCM is prepared for any situation with both Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support treatments. While slips, trips, falls or other trauma related incidents may be more prevalent in busy industry workplaces, RCM is also equipped and ready to deal with medical emergencies that can occur at any time or place.

TEAMWORK

It is our job to quickly and effectively handle an emergency situation; however our main focus is on preventative safety practices. This is achieved through adhering to our own strict policies and also assisting with educating individuals and enforcing our clients own site specific policies and practices.

To compliment and assist our staff, RCM proudly draws upon the expertise of our Medical Director, Dr. Phillip Fourie. Dr. Fourie is a Past President of the Saskatchewan Medical Association, Senior Medical Officer and Chief of Family Medicine for the Sunrise Health Region in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
